I've been out for 6 months

Yeah, you read that right, haha 6 months.

Cge so Tuesday we had president interviews and training from the AP's. I went in to the interview with one concern and I said one word and the president started to talk about it and just told me about it. Then said, what's the problem, I said two more things and he said everything that was like perfect. I felt at peace at the end. He definitely has the gift of discernment. Man he so great!

So this week we actually didn't hit the standard, but we are seeing more progress in some people, whether it be less-actives or investigators, man it is so great! Still....a tough area. My companion and I are getting along more and more as the days go on! We had companionship inventory, meaning we talked about things we both need to work on, and man it was well needed. We are closer, we joke more. It's great!

So here is just a funny story about what happened. We were studying and the electric company came to give the bill. I looked at it it's 709 pesos..now before you freak out I'll do some math for you.. 100 U.S. dollars is 4000 pesos our bill is 709...our bill is a little under 20 Bucks. CAN YOU DIG IT!!!

This week we had three investigators at church. They are all really great! But my companion was a little sad about something. I asked him what's up? He told me "remember the brother we met on the street? He is an investigator (I already knew his name just no face). He sent a text and said he was crying and upset cause he knows this church is true but his boss won't let him come." He is from Manila and his father passed away and now he as a step-dad who beats him. So he lives here, goes to school, but he is pretty much owned by his boss. It's a tough life.

This week two crazy things were told to me by my companion. he said "I've noticed that all of our investigators want to come to church sometimes, but then they get sick." He goes on to tell me that they told him to his face that the sickness only came after the missionaries came. He asked a question, is this the first test of their faith? It's hard, I tell you what..... The second thing he told me was because he has been having trouble with dry scalp. He said "Satan knows me. He knows my weakness. He will do anything he can to me to slow down this work." That's so true! I've felt it firsthand! Man it's crazy.

Well this week was good and I love you all. Miss you just as much.

From the hottest city in this mission.

One last thought. I got this quote from Lamb of God and I love it cause it just makes everything better.

"Who shall separate us from the love of CHRIST? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? NAY, in all these things we are more than conquerors through HIM that loved us."

thanks FAMILY AND FRIENDS

Sorry just noticed I didn't send pics,,,

like I said, it's hot here.

Hey there Peeps! From the Sunny City!

welp in Laoag. haha It's so hot here, but it's all good! hahaha

My first day was super funny. I saw these two kids start to fight then an adult came and just smacked both of them around. It was actually really intense, but that's just life here. Then we taught a super awesome RC and during the lesson a cock fight happened right next to us!  So cool!!!!!

This week was just weird with transfers, hahaha but I'm ready for a new challenge...I'm in a ward now and not a branch. haha but it's still small haha. Its still so fun and now instead of flat bukid it's all hilly. hahaha So crazy! I call it the missionary weight loss program! hahah so great!

If you could believe it it's been 6 months (on the 20th)! haha That's just wow! haha Awesome, but sad it's going fast!

I wish I could sit here and say 50 lessons, but the down side about this city is no one cares. haha Just a day in the life I guess. It's been constant with fall-through appointments and whatnot, hahaha but it's life, you know, and press on!

ang bago kasama ko si Elder Eduria. haha He's a cool guy, loves..himself, but haha cool.

I have pics of him and my area.
Well tapos na. Love you all

Mag-transfer ako

Maganda umaga my dear pamilia and friends. I am excited to say I'm getting transferred to the wonderful city of Laoag 2...It's a ward! That means I'm in a stake.

Anyway that's the news. That means I get a bittersweet goodbye to Vigan! Am I sad? yes. Am I way excited to explore more area? yes!!! haha It's going to be epic!

Anyway this week was really hard for missionary work cause a ton of random things have come up! and just got in the way. Of course it was all good things, but hard to do work. First it was a funeral that I sang at with missionaries and members and then a baptism on Saturday that we as missionaries sang at!

On a side note I have actually thought about it and I have had 2 baptisms my mission. One was right at the area switch with the sisters so it went into our key indicators and then Saturday.  He lives in our area but taught at a family friend's house cause his family is devoted Catholic and they would get mad if they taught at his house. We taught him last night, though, and man he is the best! He already wants to go on a mission. His testimony is his own. You couldn't ask for more.

But to be honest not a ton happened since we spoke last. We had a training by Elder Durrant who served as the Dallas Texas mission president and now the second councilor in the Sunday School presidency for the Church (and Tad R Callister is the pres.  If you have time just listen to one of his talks... all way good)  So the training rocked and Friday was ZTM. Got my music and package with goodies! The best!

This is a hanging bridge. They are really frightening and fun!

Well that's all fokes till next time. I'll be in Laoag celebrating 6 months soon wow! That's weird and fast.

With much love

This week was long and now it's Wednesday

So I'm going to Laoag today so that's why p-day is right now!!!

Anyway this is February and in 14 days I will have been out for 6 months.  Yes I'm still in Vigan but transfers are coming soon and I might head out! So that means I'll email Tuesday...

These past few days were tough, no investigators at church, a ton of things falling through, and worst of all we only had 4 appointments on Monday...it's getting crazy!

But we had some cool things happen so I'll tell you about that...

First me and Elder Hickey examined the area and found that there are small back roads that connect all the barengies that we go to (hoods) and so we asked President for bikes and all he said was ok...but that's something right....so I'd be ok with staying here. hahaha Vigan is nice!

Next I attended my first baptism interview...as assistant to the District leader, but yeah, it was way cool and the better part is that the guy lives in our area and the sisters agreed to give him to us. It's going to be a big baptism! but that's cool!!

I got word my packages are here so that's good.

Its been a hard week too for fellowshippers.

I don't know if you would remember me talking about tatay Rabong. He was our older fellowshipper who had a stroke. I'm sad to say that he passed this week on Saturday.  It was just so sad.  His kids came from work and when we got there he was already in the coffin and dressed.  His kids were just so sad it hurt to watch...This morning me and Elder Hickey helped put temple clothes on him...his garment were already on. It's hard to see these things, be in area for so long to see a man you love pass. But it's ok that's why we have the plan of salvation and we will see him soon.

So I'm going to make this a thing when I get home...Tindahans...they are just little stores owed by people with like snacks and pepsi and maybe other things like a small pack thing of tooth paste or like ciggs.  haha it's so cool.

Well I love and miss you all and hope you have an awesome week. Not to make you jealous, but it's been, I'd say, 80's this week, so yeah. got to love it! And I'm not sick any more!

Well with love and no pictures...sorry mom...
